Dublin Airport is about  1 hour and 30 minute drive.

• When you leave Dublin airport, follow the signs for City Centre/M50
• After less than 1 km follow signs for M50 South
• Take the M50 – South for about 10 km to Junction 9 marked "The South - N7 (M8-M9)".
• Go on the N7 south for about 40 km - see Junction 11 marked " The SOUTH EAST (M9) - Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford, Athy.
• Follow the M9 for another 60 km until Junction 8 - First exit to Kilkenny
• Take the dual carriageway for about 3-4 kilometers until you come to a roundabout - this is the circular road around Kilkenny
• Turn Left here and stay on the circular road for  about 5 or 6 roundabouts to the last one - The Signs on the last one will read Callan or City Centre
• Take City Centre (Right Turn)
• Go to the next small roundabout -100 metres
• Drive straight through and continue along College Road for about 500 metres.
• Turn left at the traffic lights and church.
• Desart Cottage is 100 metres down Lower New Street on the right hand side.
• Note - we are on Lower New Street Not Upper - there are no numbers on the houses
• Look for the Desart Cottage sign on top of one of the pillars on either side of an avenue between two buildings
